About the position

The Wireless Field Integration Technician is responsible for the installation, integration, and optimization of telecommunications network hardware and interconnect facilities. This role requires independent work with minimal supervision, providing guidance to other technicians as needed. The position involves significant travel to remote communication sites and may require working long hours, typically 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, commissioning, integration & testing for Ericsson and Nokia technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G)
  • Installation and testing of transport facilities T1, T3, FTT
  • Installation and integration of router/SIAD based equipment (Tellabs, Cisco, and ALU)
  • Reading and understanding construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Maintaining and enforcing the company's safety program
  • Reviewing and following daily job site safety plans
  • Stopping work when unsafe practices or conditions exist

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Technician/Technologist diploma preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Office Suite
  • Willingness to work off normal shifts as needed
  • Ability to travel overnight as required
  • Capable of working both indoors and outdoors for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull 50 lbs
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, and twist throughout the workday
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and manipulate equipment with precise movements
