About the position

The Wireless Integration Engineer at Rivian will focus on integrating wireless features such as WiFi, Cellular, Ethernet, and GPS into the Connectivity Software team. This role involves collaboration with software developers, systems integrators, and system engineers to ensure robust connectivity solutions for Rivian's Electric Adventure Vehicles. The engineer will be responsible for designing test plans, defining performance metrics, debugging issues, and monitoring fleet connectivity health.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed test plans for Cellular and Wifi features
• Define KPIs and performance metrics at module and system level
• Integrate features into vehicle builds and participate in debug activities
• Debug field/customer issues and provide meaningful resolutions
• Build dashboards and monitor fleet connectivity health
• Engage in discussions to test, bug fix, and optimize feature development based on data
• Collaborate with HW, BSP, wireless software developers, system architecture, and test teams in architecting a scalable software platform

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Good understanding of 5GNR and LTE protocol stack
• Proficient in scripting languages including Python and/or Shell
• Experience with Cellular baseband log analysis is highly desirable
• Working understanding of the OSI model and network protocols
• Strong first principles thinking along with excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
