The Principal Wireless Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the network architecture for our global operations. This position requires collaboration with team members, IT leadership, and enterprise stakeholders to design and implement cloud, data center, and premise network architectures that can scale effectively. The engineer will be responsible for documenting problem statements, project requirements, and architecture details to ensure clarity and alignment with business objectives. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of an architecture roadmap for networking at a global scale. This includes driving ongoing efforts to ensure that the roadmap is aligned with business needs and providing clear and concise recommendations to remediate any performance or scaling bottlenecks that may arise. You will create and update both graphical and written network architecture documentation, adhering to industry best practices to maintain high standards of quality and clarity. Your expertise in routing, switching, load balancing, wireless networking, and network security technologies will be crucial in deploying cost-effective solutions that meet both business and security needs. You will monitor network infrastructure and traffic, identifying and documenting problem areas while recommending improvements based on the current and projected enterprise network environment. Additionally, you will assess new technologies and best practices for potential adoption, driving standardization and automation across all aspects of the network environment. Effective communication with all stakeholders is essential, as you will be expected to convey complex technical information in a timely, clear, and concise manner. Troubleshooting complex network problems will also be a key responsibility, requiring a deep understanding of network technology strategies, best practices, guidelines, and standards based on emerging technologies. Ultimately, you will be tasked with developing a high-performing, highly available distributed mesh network infrastructure that meets application roadmaps and adapts to evolving security requirements, optimizing and evolving the current network for performance, resiliency, and availability.
