As a Wireless Network Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will serve as a senior technical advisor to architects, designers, engineers, customers, and management on all aspects of wireless communications. Your role will involve applying advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and comprehensive industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You will work with minimal direction, mentoring and potentially supervising team members to ensure the successful implementation of wireless network solutions. In this position, you will be responsible for engineering, designing, developing, installing, configuring, testing, and implementing wireless network solutions, specifically utilizing Aruba and Cisco technologies. You will capture and analyze technical requirements, document detailed system designs, and create operational guides for network systems. Your expertise will also be crucial in developing deliverable documentation, including engineering studies, technical solutions, installation plans, and as-built drawing packages. You will conduct wireless and site surveys for both wireless and wired networks, utilizing tools such as Ekahau and AirMagnet software to assess and analyze data, ultimately recommending network designs or upgrade proposals. Your experience in managing and maintaining large-scale wireless networks, including upgrading hardware and infrastructure, will be essential. Additionally, you will analyze Wireless Intrusion Detection Systems (WIDS) and appropriate logs to determine courses of action and make informed recommendations. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
