About the position

The Wireless Software Developer role at Apple involves designing and developing innovative wireless connectivity technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. Responsibilities

• Design and develop wireless software and protocols around IEEE 802.15.4 and Thread Mesh technology for Home Automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in wireless connectivity solutions.
• Develop core wireless technologies that address everyday customer problems using Apple devices.
• Write software for multi-threaded environments and real-time operating systems.
• Document and communicate project deliverables effectively.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development/system engineering.
• Proven experience in writing software for multi-threaded environments.
• Strong software engineering skills including design, programming in C, C++, or Objective C, and debugging.
• A proven track record of project deliverables from concept to commercialization.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Working experience with open source software.
• Experience in developing frameworks and APIs.
• Knowledge of IoT protocols such as IEEE 802.15.4, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or Thread Mesh.
• Home automation experience with Bluetooth, Zigbee, z-Wave, or Thread Mesh.
