About the position

The position involves working within the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems Group at Apple, focusing on the design, development, and commercialization of innovative wireless technologies. The role emphasizes collaboration across various departments to enhance user experience and ensure seamless connectivity for Apple products. The engineer will be responsible for developing new features, debugging existing ones, and architecting solutions that address customer needs in wireless communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features for wireless technologies.
• Debug and enhance existing wireless features.
• Identify and develop core wireless solutions for Apple products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams.
• Architect solutions using design thinking principles.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills, including design and programming in C/C++ and Python/Perl.
• Solid understanding of complex wireless systems and their interactions.
• Ability to handle and process large amounts of test data with user-friendly visualization.
• Good understanding of 4G/5G 3GPP specifications.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of communication theory and digital signal processing.
• Experience with link or system simulation using Matlab or NS3.
• Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Wireless Communications, or equivalent.
