About the position

The Wireless Solutions Software Engineer position at Technology Service Corporation (TSC) involves supporting the Wireless Solutions Group by engaging in full life cycle software development, particularly in systems interfacing software to hardware. The role requires collaboration with the product solutions group to develop innovative products and ensure they meet customer requirements through rapid development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Support full life cycle software development in systems interfacing software to hardware.
• Collaborate with the wireless solutions group to develop new products leveraging technology across TSC.
• Design and implement testing approaches that support a product line with different features and levels of maturity.
• Responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and initial product rollout, as well as updates and upgrades to support customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software development.
• 5-10 years of design, coding, integration, and testing experience in C++ on Linux (Ubuntu headless and/or embedded systems).
• Experience in C++ multi-threaded application development and integration on hardware.
• Interprocess communications experience using Google Protobufs.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with making modifications to Ubuntu root file systems.
• Windows development experience in C++.
• Experience using Qt development.
• Familiarity with CM tools such as GIT, Jenkins, and Jira.
• Interface and use of Software Defined Radios from embedded applications.
• Familiarity with wireless protocols (802.11, 802.12).
• Interprocess communications over TCP/IP, UDP/IP, and serial ports.
• Development using Docker containers.
