About the position

The Wireless Hardware group at Apple is seeking a dedicated individual to join their Wireless/PHY System DVT team. This role focuses on ensuring that the Wireless/PHY system meets design specifications and functions correctly, contributing to the development of innovative wireless connectivity solutions. The position involves automation development and verification of wireless systems, as well as collaboration with design engineers to enhance product performance through advanced testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Wireless/PHY system meets design specifications and functions correctly.
• Develop automation for testing and verification of Wireless/PHY Systems.
• Create test infrastructure for validation and regression in a silicon design group.
• Collaborate with PHY/MAC/RF design engineers for system integration and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in wireless communication systems.
• Knowledge of key performance indicators and impairments of RF and Baseband signals.
• Experience testing wireless silicon in a lab environment.
• Proficiency in using lab equipment such as signal analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Shell scripting, C/C++, or C#.
• Experience in developing test automation and related infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Familiarity with WiFi and/or Cellular Technologies.
• Experience with automation tools like GIT, CI/CD, and reporting tools.
