As a Wireless System Automation Development Engineer Lead at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in the Wireless Hardware group, focusing on the automation development for the characterization of cutting-edge wireless System-on-Chip (SoC) products. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about tackling significant challenges and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in wireless connectivity. You will be responsible for leading the automation development efforts, which include establishing the bringup infrastructure at the heart of a silicon design group, as well as developing the characterization, regression, and reporting frameworks necessary for the evaluation of our wireless products. In this technical leadership role, you will oversee the design and implementation of test and automation systems that are integral to wireless communication systems. Your expertise will guide the development of automation tools, including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools. You will also be involved in the development of automation infrastructure that ensures traceability and repeatability in testing processes, utilizing tools such as GIT, CI, and various reporting tools. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the performance of Apple’s wireless products, ensuring that our customers enjoy seamless connectivity with their devices. The role requires a strong foundation in programming, particularly in Python and/or C/C++, and a solid understanding of wireless test lab equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and power meters. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve the platform architecture, paving the way for new experiences that leverage advancements in sensor technology. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the team towards achieving our goal of delivering world-class wireless systems that redefine customer connectivity.
