About the position

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a WNEXUS Product Owner to join their innovative team in Cranberry Township, PA. This role is pivotal in supporting Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions. The successful candidate will be part of a hybrid work environment, requiring two days a week on-site at either the Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA, or the facility in Rock Hill, SC. The position is full-time, with a standard workweek of 40 hours, primarily during the day shift. In this role, you will contribute to the selection, development, and maintenance of the WNEXUS Software Suite tools utilized within the Global Operations Support (GOS) organization. You will collaborate with team members to intake new functional requirements, assess the capabilities of existing architecture, and identify opportunities for new functionalities. A key aspect of your responsibilities will be to drive standardization in the product management process, ensuring that any requests for custom modifications are thoroughly evaluated. You will also support the WNEXUS Software Architect and Project Manager by leading discussions with both internal and external customers regarding new functionality requests. Your day-to-day tasks will include overseeing the product backlog development for the core WNEXUS Suite Applications, delivering presentations on the WNEXUS Suite to stakeholders, and planning, scheduling, and executing assignments independently while adhering to project schedules and budgetary constraints. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the selection, development, and maintenance of the WNEXUS Software Suite tools.
• Work with team members to intake new functional requirements and assess existing architecture.
• Drive standardization into the WNEXUS product management process.
• Support the WNEXUS Software Architect and Project Manager in daily tasks.
• Lead discussions with internal and external customers on new functionality requests.
• Oversee the product backlog development of the core WNEXUS Suite Applications.
• Support and deliver presentations on the WNEXUS Suite to stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule, and execute assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline.
• Required experience using the WNEXUS Applications.
• Experience in a Global Engineering (GES) related engineering field.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot functional software issues at a technical level.
• Ability to understand technologies and create requirements.
• Understanding of CAD software applications.

Nice-to-haves

• An understanding of Java programming is preferred but not required.
