Womens Apparel Technical Designer

About the position

The Women's Apparel Technical Designer will be responsible for ensuring that the designs of a women's clothing brand are executed to the highest quality standards. This role involves collaboration with the design team to create technical specifications, maintain technical packages, conduct fittings, and communicate with overseas vendors to ensure timely delivery of garments. The position is crucial for maintaining the brand's commitment to quality and style in women's apparel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to create technical specifications for new product designs.
• Create and maintain technical packages for all garments.
• Conduct fittings and communicate fit corrections to overseas vendors.
• Work with the production team to ensure timely delivery of finished garments.
• Ensure that all garments meet quality standards and fit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Designer in Women's Apparel.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading.
• Experience working with overseas vendors.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in fashion design (1 year preferred).
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (1 year preferred).
• Knowledge of Chinese (preferred).
