About the position

A well-established, growing, small women's medical group is seeking a hard-working, success-driven Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team. This part-time position offers the opportunity for new graduates to receive training, with the potential for the role to evolve into a full-time position over time if desired. The practice is characterized by a collaborative environment among generalist OBGYNs, catering to a diverse patient population, and is located in a beautiful office on the campus of El Camino Hospital in the scenic San Francisco Bay Area. The position includes a starting pay range of $70-85 per hour, depending on experience, and emphasizes a supportive team environment. The role involves a mix of clinic work, inpatient rounding, and assisting in the operating room. While an interest in OBGYN is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. The practice has been established for 15 years and is known for its RN support for inbox management, ensuring that the PA can focus on patient care. The practice prides itself on providing mentorship and training within a collegial environment, with easy access to supportive specialists. The diverse patient population and high-quality electronic health record (EHR) system, which includes built-in telemedicine capabilities, are integral to the practice's operations. The office is newly built and situated on the hospital campus, providing a convenient and modern workspace for the PA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a clinic setting, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Assist in inpatient rounding and provide care to hospitalized patients.
  • Support OBGYN procedures in the operating room as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team of generalist OBGYNs and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage patient inboxes with RN support to ensure timely communication and care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and mentorship opportunities to enhance clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Current Physician Assistant license in California or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
  • Interest in women's health and OBGYN practices is preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in women's health or OBGYN.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably Epic.
