About the position

The Wonderware Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be responsible for migrating the existing Wonderware System Platform application from version 2017 to the new version 2023. This role involves evaluating current system architecture, identifying hardware and software requirements, and developing a comprehensive migration plan. The SME will ensure successful installation, data migration, and validation of the new system while providing user training and documentation updates.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current system architecture configurations
• Identify hardware and software requirements and develop migration plan
• Backup all existing Wonderware data configurations and applications
• Install Aveva Wonderware System Platform 2023 application on new server with all related components
• License new server and ensure successful activation
• Perform data migration by transferring data backups and configurations to new server
• Migrate GR and other databases to new SQL server instance
• Check the integrity of GR to ensure no impact on data
• Migrate InTouch applications by copying files to new server
• Reconfigure any file paths or references within the InTouch App to match the new server
• Migrate custom scripts and configurations if any
• Perform testing and validation including functional testing and data validation
• Update documentation and provide user training
• Perform final cutover to the new server and monitoring

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Wonderware System Platform
• Strong knowledge of system architecture and configurations
• Experience in data migration and validation
• Proficiency in SQL Server management
• Ability to perform functional testing and troubleshooting
• Excellent documentation and training skills

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Aveva products
• Experience in project management
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems
