About the position

The Pallet Repair Technician at 48forty Solutions is responsible for repairing damaged pallets and returning them to service-ready condition. This role requires achieving production targets while ensuring a clean and safe working environment, adhering to the company's core values and safety standards. The technician will utilize various tools to construct and deconstruct pallets, aiming to repair 300 to 400 pallets per shift. Effective communication with the shift lead and adherence to quality standards are essential aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged pallets by removing broken deck boards and stringers.
• Utilize appropriate tools and methods to return pallets to service-ready condition.
• Achieve expected production requirements of 300 to 400 pallets per shift.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicate directly with shift lead and/or onsite or plant manager.
• Examine repaired products to verify conformance to quality standards.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in a labor-intensive environment under extreme weather conditions.
• Completion of a drug test is required.
• Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, welding, or logistics is encouraged.
• Requires quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Observance of all safety rules and regulations is mandatory.
• Ability to communicate effectively is essential.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
