About the position

We are currently recruiting for art teachers for kids and teens for weekday afternoons and weekends in our Woodbury-Syosset, NY school location to teach our specialty Manga Art Classes. Our classes typically start at 3:30pm so it is a great opportunity for public and private school art teachers and current art students in graduate programs to earn extra money doing what they love. Our curriculum is created centrally so there is minimal prep required and all tools, equipment and supplies are provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes in Manga, Cartooning, and digital illustration using the provided curriculum.
• Engage students in a fun and interactive learning environment.
• Prepare for classes with minimal prep due to centrally created curriculum.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience teaching art
• Knowledge of Manga, Cartooning, Digital illustration, etc.
• BFA or BS in Art Education
• Thoughtful communication skills
• A passion for One River School's mission
• Must live within easy commutable distance from the school location.
