About the position
The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) is seeking a WordPress Developer for a short-term position to assist in migrating, converting, and upgrading their current WordPress website to a new hosting platform, WPEngine. The role focuses on enhancing the website's functionality and ensuring a smooth transition to the new hosting environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in migrating the current WordPress website to WPEngine.
- Convert and upgrade website content as needed.
- Implement community-based theme templates for the site.
- Integrate membership plugins and manage membership levels.
- Manage document systems for educational content administration.
- Ensure security measures are in place for site management.
- Develop community and social networking features.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of creating WordPress sites.
- Experience with community-based theme templates such as Aardvark.
- Experience with membership plugins like Paid Membership Pro and its extensions.
- Experience with document management systems for educational content.
- Experience with security training for site content management.
- Experience with community and social networking features.
