About the position

The WordPress Developer at HUB International will be responsible for supporting and developing WordPress and web needs within the Communication & Design team. This role involves both front-end and back-end support, including creating deliverables, maintaining server functionality, and ensuring website performance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to continuous improvement and creativity in their work.

Responsibilities

• Create deliverables and websites for front-end support.
• Set up design and function, including adjusting settings and styles.
• Add plug-ins and forms to websites.
• Activate and provide Google Analytics for tracking.
• Troubleshoot plug-ins and forms as needed.
• Maintain server functionality and troubleshoot issues on the back-end.
• Duplicate websites and create staging sites before going live.
• Manage email inboxes linked to websites.
• Create new servers and implement feature add-ons and upgrades.
• Conduct thorough testing for cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in WordPress development.
• Experience with building mobile apps.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, and database systems.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and compliance.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices preferred.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A creative mindset.
