WordPress Developer

About the position

We are seeking a passionate and talented Associate WordPress Developer to join our growing team. You will work alongside experienced developers and designers to build and maintain high-quality, custom WordPress websites and plugins. You will be involved in all aspects of the development process, from initial concept and design to implementation and launch.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Develop and implement new features and functionality - expand website capabilities and create seamless user experiences.
• Design and build custom themes and plugins - craft unique visual designs and tailor functionality to specific requirements.
• Integrate third-party plugins and services - seamlessly connect external tools and platforms for enhanced functionality.
• Transform PSD or Sketch Designs into WordPress Themes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications in production.
• Optimize website performance and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• 0 to 2 years of experience as a WordPress developer
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Strong Database Management knowledge
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Should be able to tweak marketplace modules to meet requirements
• Familiarity with SEO best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for WordPress and a desire to learn new things.
