About the position

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer with expertise in Gutenberg, PHP, and React to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress plugins, participating in the full product lifecycle, and leading development scrum groups. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders and a strong focus on performance optimization and coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the product life cycle.
• Supply work breakdowns, estimates, and status updates to project and engagement management.
• Understand technical project priorities, implementation dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Lead EPICs in our agile development process, coordinating and mentoring multiple development resources.
• Engage in story planning, negotiating between PM, DEV, and QA to derive appropriate stories.
• Develop, enhance, document, and maintain WordPress plugins.
• Lead development team in architecture and design of new features.

Requirements

• Proven experience with WordPress and Gutenberg.
• Strong skills in PHP, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience in custom plugin development.
• Knowledge of unit testing automation.
• Ability to balance front-end, full-stack, back-end, and plug-in development across the WordPress engine.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Node JS, CSS, and HTML.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Docker.
• Experience with MySQL and CI/CD processes.
