About the position

The WordPress Developer position at MRJ involves contributing to the growth of a leading tech firm's WordPress-based platform. This fully remote role focuses on developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components to ensure a seamless user experience, utilizing skills in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Build responsive and visually appealing websites.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance project outcomes.
• Optimize performance for better user experience.
• Manage content updates effectively.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure functionality.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
• Provide technical support to users.

Requirements

• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with responsive design and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with Git and RESTful APIs (JSON, XML).
• Knowledge of WordPress plugins such as WooCommerce and Advanced Custom Fields.
• Understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with eCommerce platforms and SEO practices.
• Knowledge of website security measures.
• Familiarity with other CMS platforms/frameworks and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
