About the position
HigherVisibility is seeking a WordPress Developer with a minimum of two years of experience to join their web development team. The role focuses on creating custom WordPress themes from design prototypes and optimizing WordPress sites for performance. The ideal candidate will possess creativity, technical skills, and a passion for digital marketing, thriving in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and customize WordPress themes using Elementor and/or the Block Editor
- Optimize WordPress sites for peak performance
- Handle WordPress support and maintenance tickets
- Launch and maintain multiple WordPress installations
- Implement best practices for optimal site performance
- Collaborate with other team members and departments
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in WordPress development
- Deep understanding of the WordPress content management system
- Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with theme development, Block Editor, and Elementor
- Strong troubleshooting and security skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and organized
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Figma
- Experience with digital marketing and conversion-oriented design/development
- Design and UX/UI experience
