About the position

The WordPress Developer at Cloud and Things will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites. This role focuses on optimizing websites for performance, functionality, and user experience, while collaborating with business units to translate their needs into effective web solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites from scratch.
• Port WordPress sites from development environments to production.
• Work with and customize various WordPress plugins, including Elementor, Updraft Plus, and Yoast.
• Edit and reconfigure media content such as photos, videos, and audio.
• Design and implement creative web pages with a keen eye for aesthetics and user experience.
• Collaborate with business units to capture and understand business requirements.
• Design and create wireframes for user interfaces (UI).
• Ensure website performance, security, and responsiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Familiarity with popular WordPress plugins, especially Elementor, Updraft Plus, and Yoast.
• Strong ability to edit and manage media content (photos, videos, and audio).
• Creative skills with a strong sense of design and layout.
• Ability to capture and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Experience in designing wireframes and user interfaces.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with web hosting environments and domain management.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Previous experience working in a collaborative team environment.
