About the position

The WordPress Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing and securing six WordPress applications within the IT Division at Apollo Technology Solutions. This position involves full-stack development to support the organization's mission in highway safety, emergency messaging, and recruitment. The developer will work closely with stakeholders and is expected to maintain a hybrid work arrangement with regular onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Build new features and services across the full stack in WordPress.
• Develop solutions in WordPress that ensure positive, accessible user experiences for both desktop and mobile environments.
• Perform debugging and security remediations for public-facing applications.
• Work with agile development methodologies and adhere to best practices.
• Pursue continued learning opportunities in the field.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in WordPress application development.
• Proficiency in PHP coding and debugging.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of SQL and REST API.
• Proven knowledge of back-end/infrastructure maintenance and optimization.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles and secure coding practices.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in information sciences, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
