About the position

The WordPress Website Developer at Amazing Facts is responsible for coding and modifying websites from layout to implementation, ensuring that design concepts are transformed into fully-functional websites. The role involves collaboration with the marketing team and other departments to create an intuitive user experience while maintaining existing websites and developing new ones.

Responsibilities

• Code and modify websites from layout to implementation according to specifications.
• Collaborate with marketing to turn design concepts into functional websites.
• Maintain existing ministry websites and develop new ones.
• Implement onsite and offsite SEO techniques.
• Stay updated on the latest tools and trends in web development.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for website projects.
• Compile content from resources for new or existing websites.
• Provide support to site visitors or staff via email or phone.
• Troubleshoot reported website issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of website programming experience.
• Experience with WordPress CMS.
• Knowledge of SQL database programming.
• Proficiency in PHP-based website programming.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap 4/5.
• Expertise in WordPress website security practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with DNN CMS platform.
• Familiarity with Razor/CSHTML programming.
• Knowledge of React, Angular, or Vue frameworks.
