About the position

The Fullstack WordPress Developer position at a NYC-based Branding/Digital Agency involves building and maintaining websites using WordPress. This role requires collaboration with creative and strategy teams, and offers flexibility for remote work or commuting into Midtown. The position is permanent and direct hire, with a competitive salary range.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full sites in WordPress using the latest technologies.
• Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to deliver high-quality web solutions.
• Integrate specialty JS libraries as needed for projects.
• Write custom code for WordPress themes and plugins.
• Participate in stand-ups and peer code reviews.
• Perform light DevOps tasks related to hosting environments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of agency experience in web development.
• Proven experience building full sites in WordPress.
• Strong frontend development skills in HTML, JS, PHP, CSS/Sass, and Vue.
• Experience with CSS and JS animation.
• Familiarity with front-end build systems like Gulp and version control using Git and GitFlow.
• Ability to write custom code for WordPress themes and plugins.
• Experience developing with Gutenberg and ACF in WordPress.
• Experience interfacing with and writing code for APIs from external systems.
• Knowledge of accessibility, security, and compliance best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Drupal themes and Twig templating language.
• Comfortable with light DevOps tasks.
