About the position

The Work Based Learning Program Data Center Operations Technician role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) involves participating in a 12-month training program focused on data center operations. The position requires hands-on technical work in a dynamic environment, supporting AWS's global infrastructure by ensuring the availability and reliability of data center services. Technicians will engage in various tasks, including server installations, troubleshooting, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components.
• Troubleshooting network issues and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers and vendors.
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
