About the position

The Work Based Learning Program (WBLP) Data Center Operations Technician role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) involves participating in a 12-month training program focused on data center operations. The position requires hands-on work in AWS data centers, where technicians will perform server installations, troubleshoot hardware and network issues, and ensure operational efficiency while adhering to safety protocols. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components.
• Troubleshooting network issues and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers and vendors.
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
