About the position

The Data Center Operations Technician position is part of Amazon Web Services' Work Based Learning Program (WBLP), focusing on the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The role involves working in a diverse team to maintain data center operations, ensuring safety and security while providing high service availability. Technicians will participate in a 12-month training program, gaining hands-on experience in a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers and vendors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on operational analysis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel within the regional work area.
• Experience with computer hardware components and operating systems.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in shift rotations.
