About the position
This position is offered through the Federal Work Study Program. In order to be considered for the position, candidates must meet the requirements of the program. The role involves assisting Facilities staff with general grounds work, which includes various tasks related to maintaining the college's outdoor areas.
Responsibilities
- Picking up litter and emptying of trash barrels
- Mowing and weeding of grounds around the college
- General maintenance of all equipment used
- Ability to operate basic grounds equipment as necessary
- Snow and ice removal during the winter
- Other duties as reasonably assigned by Building & Grounds staff.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be enrolled half-time (or greater) at the College (half-time is 6cr for fall/spring and 3cr for summer)
- Must be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must have eligibility (financial need) as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
