About the position

The Workday Analyst provides technical and business process support to subject matter experts using Workday, focusing on resolving business and process problems while recommending technical solutions. This role serves as the primary contact for Workday support, collaborating with various departments to enhance functional and technical operations within the Workday platform. The analyst must possess in-depth knowledge of Workday modules and best practices, ensuring effective integration and support across multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system challenges and implement enhancements.
  • Provide day-to-day support for functional and technical operations in Workday modules.
  • Support report development and testing, including advanced calculated fields and conditional logic.
  • Support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and other integration tools.
  • Maintain tier 1 support for security and technical requests in assigned functional areas.
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules based on business requirements and execute test plans.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design and integration specifications.
  • Stay current with Workday releases and evaluate their impact on organizational processes.
  • Support projects to roll out new modules and functionality, including requirements documentation and UAT testing.
  • Facilitate weekly cross-functional meetings with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Workday Platform experience, particularly with Student, Finance, HCM, or Payroll operations.
  • 1-3 years of Workday report-writing experience.
  • Experience with Workday Studio and advanced calculated fields.
  • Knowledge of Workday Prism preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of data governance and reporting processes.
  • Workday accreditation in Workday Student, Financials, and/or HCM strongly desired.
  • Previous experience in an information technology environment, preferably in higher education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workday Implementation experience with modules like Workday Student Journeys, Adaptive Insights, Learning, Prism, and Extend.
  • Experience working closely with non-technical business owners on technical solutions.
