About the position

A financial services company is seeking to enhance its team by adding a Workday Business Systems Analyst. This position is critical for supporting the HR Digital Solutions - Workday team and internal business partners. The role is hybrid, requiring both onsite presence in either Charlotte, NC, or Detroit, MI, and is structured as a contract position. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, as they will be responsible for the development, ongoing maintenance, and operational and technical support of all aspects of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. In this role, the Workday Business Systems Analyst will take a significant part in the design, implementation, deployment, and documentation of key projects identified by the HR Center of Excellence (COE). This includes working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the Workday system meets the evolving needs of the organization. The analyst will also be expected to provide production support, manage documentation, and utilize various tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to facilitate their work. The position requires a strong understanding of Workday functionalities, particularly in Talent & Performance, HCM, reporting, security, and Learning, to effectively support the HR team and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Digital Solutions - Workday team and internal business partners.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and operational support for the Workday HCM system.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, deployment, and documentation of key HR COE identified projects.
  • Manage production support tasks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Utilize documentation tools such as Jira and ServiceNow to track and manage project progress and issues.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Workday experience including Talent & Performance, HCM, reporting, security, and Learning.
  • Strong production support skills with a focus on organization, prioritization, and time management.
  • Experience in documentation using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Workday Partner or PRO certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HR at a Financial Services company.
  • 1 full lifecycle implementation of Workday.
