The Workday Change Control Manager at Stanford Health Care plays a crucial role in supporting the core functions of the health system's business and financial applications. This position is responsible for implementing, administering, and supporting assigned systems with minimal guidance from senior team members. The individual in this role will possess deep expertise in business and financial solutions within a healthcare environment, independently addressing complex issues and design decisions without direct supervision. Clear communication and documentation of complex concepts related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization are essential components of this role. In this position, the manager will provide tier-2 support for application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required. They will act as a technology subject matter expert, effectively communicating technical concepts in business terms to influence outcomes across various groups. The role involves leading complex software upgrade initiatives, new software installations, and enhancement requests, while maintaining up-to-date project documents that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables. The Workday Change Control Manager will continually identify opportunities for automation and lead internal initiatives to implement them. Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery of all critical systems is a key responsibility, which includes leading periodic failover and disaster recovery tests in collaboration with infrastructure and end-user groups. The manager will also work with infrastructure teams to develop an environment management strategy, actively monitor application usage and growth, and ensure appropriate scalability through software, workflow, and infrastructure enhancements. Collaboration with infrastructure and end-user teams to develop data archive and purge strategies is essential, as is identifying system optimization and enhancements. The manager will mentor and train junior staff members, participate in cross-functional teams, and facilitate meetings to advance clinical delivery and quality outcomes through effective use of clinical software. The role requires independent analysis and judgment to produce solution options for complex issues, ensuring smooth project turnover to operations, support services, and clients.
