About the position

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Workday HCM Sr Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This position is a contract-to-permanent role that plays a crucial part in supporting the optimal use, functioning, and data integrity of Workday within the Human Resources (HR) department. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Department and liaise across various HR teams to provide user support, education, and feedback on data, workflow, and system functionality. This role is essential for strategic business planning and decision-making, particularly focusing on Workday Recruiting and Onboarding to support the Talent Acquisition team, HR Business Partners, and Financial Planning teams. The Workday HCM Sr Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including production support for Workday Recruitment and Core HCM HR Technology. This includes supporting enhancements, performing testing activities, creating and supporting ad hoc reports, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of HRIS information. The analyst will also research and resolve issues related to data transfers and partner with the IT Department to design and develop system interfaces for interoperability. As a subject matter expert in Talent Acquisition, the analyst will maintain expertise on new functionalities in Workday and configure, test, and deploy business processes while making recommendations for improvements. Additionally, the role involves creating training materials for the HR team and end users, conducting user training, and supporting new systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Workday Core HR and Recruiting modules, with firsthand experience in configuration, implementation, reporting, and security administration. This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities but requires a collaborative approach to bring together diverse teams to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support all enhancements as part of the production support team for Workday and other HR technologies.
  • Perform testing activities to ensure development/configuration work meets user requirements, including functional testing and end-user testing.
  • Create and support ad hoc reports, metrics, and dashboards for HR teams.
  • Complete data audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HRIS information.
  • Research and resolve issues related to data transfers from HRIS to other K12 systems or vendors.
  • Partner with the IT Department in the design and development of system interfaces to support systems interoperability.
  • Complete user access audits to ensure HR data is appropriately restricted.
  • Execute bulk employee changes via EIB.
  • Maintain expertise on new functionality/features/capabilities in Workday and industry trends.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Workday business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on requirements.
  • Create reports, metrics, and dashboards to support Talent Acquisition and Financial planning teams for position management and headcount planning.
  • Create training materials for HR team and end users to improve training and operational procedures.
  • Support new systems and conduct user training in the use and features of systems and applications.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with Workday HCM.
  • 8+ years of HRIS experience supporting Workday Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Talent Acquisition teams supporting implementations and production support.
  • Proficiency in MS 365 and web technologies.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Ability to clear required background check.
