About the position

As a Workday Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy, development, and implementation of Workday solutions across our organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize the product backlog, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet organizational objectives. Your expertise in Workday and agile methodologies will be crucial in guiding the team through the product development lifecycle. In this role, you will define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Workday modules, ensuring alignment with business goals. Engaging with business stakeholders, including HR, Finance, IT, and other departments, you will gather requirements, understand pain points, and translate them into functional Workday solutions. You will prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder needs, and team capacity, ensuring that the most impactful features are delivered first. You will work closely with the development team to clarify requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that features are developed according to the product vision and user needs. Participating in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, you will ensure that the team stays on track and delivers high-quality increments. Additionally, you will oversee the testing and validation of Workday configurations, ensuring that the delivered solutions meet acceptance criteria and are free of defects. Your responsibilities will also include developing and delivering training materials and documentation for end-users, ensuring that they are well-equipped to use Workday effectively. You will monitor the performance of Workday solutions, gather user feedback, and drive continuous improvements to enhance system functionality and user satisfaction. Furthermore, you will ensure that Workday configurations comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, particularly concerning data privacy and security. Lastly, you will liaise with Workday and other third-party vendors to manage system updates, resolve issues, and ensure that the organization is leveraging the full potential of the Workday platform.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday, including hands-on experience with various modules such as HCM, Financials, or Payroll.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role within an agile development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Workday configurations, integrations, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Workday certifications in relevant modules (e.g., Workday HCM, Workday Financials) are highly desirable.
