About the position

The Workday Test Manager will lead the entire test cycle for Workday implementations, ensuring effective management of various testing phases including Smoke, Unit, End to End, Regression, Payroll, Integrations, Service Rehearsal, and UAT. This role is critical for defining the scope, planning, execution, and closure of testing projects, while continuously improving the QA strategy and defect management processes. The Test Manager will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and adherence to global standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire test cycle including Smoke, Unit, End to End, Regression, Payroll, Integrations, Service Rehearsal, and UAT.
• Define the scope and plan for testing phases, ensuring effective execution and closure of projects.
• Continuously improve the QA strategy and defect management processes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and deployment leads for planning and risk management.
• Produce test documentation such as Test Approaches, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts aligned with Workday methodologies.
• Ensure timely reporting and communication of plans, progress, and issues to stakeholders.
• Set up Jira/Zephyr for project and BAU Testing Activities.
• Perform risk assessments and maintain up-to-date testing documentation.

Requirements

• Experience as a Workday HCM Functional Architect or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of Workday methodologies and best practices.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end test management cycles.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with project reporting and communication of plans and progress.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with third-party collaboration for testing activities.
• Familiarity with Jira/Zephyr for test management.
• Knowledge of IT audit standards and best practices.
