About the position
Organizes and maintains plant for effective and efficient utilization of yard/storage space while ensuring all materials can be retrieved for timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and cleans-up loading areas, silos, hoppers, and yard area.
- Responsible for the operation of the front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks.
- Safely operate loader, forklift, and other motorized material handling equipment.
- Communicates with and cooperates with drivers and customers.
- Participates in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards.
- Works toward improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area.
- Fills-up fuel and cleans the equipment as needed.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Be able to read, write, and speak English.
- High school preferred.
- Bilingual a plus.
