About the position

The Workers' Compensation Analyst is responsible for administering Workers' Compensation benefits for injured employees within the City of Los Angeles. This role involves authorizing appropriate treatment, ensuring that it is prompt, adequate, and economical. The analyst will conduct interviews with injured employees, physicians, and witnesses, perform field investigations, and engage in discussions with attorneys and representatives of employee groups regarding various cases.

Responsibilities

• Administer Workers' Compensation benefits for injured employees.
• Authorize appropriate treatment and ensure it is prompt, adequate, and economical.
• Interview injured employees, physicians, and witnesses.
• Conduct field investigation work.
• Discuss cases with attorneys, physicians, and representatives of employee groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Workers' Compensation administration or a related area.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret medical reports and legal documents.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of California Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
• Experience with case management software.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
