About the position

The Workers Compensation Analyst (Underwriting) position at Global Aerospace Inc. is a full-time role based in Morris Plains, NJ, designed for individuals with a strong foundation in Workers' Compensation Underwriting. The analyst will support the Workers' Compensation Division by managing producer appointments, conducting account research, and developing underwriting information, while also handling day-to-day servicing and policy documentation for new and existing policyholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Workers' Compensation Division in producer appointments and account research.
• Develop pertinent underwriting information and manage day-to-day servicing tasks.
• Follow up on outstanding information and complete policy documents for issuance.
• Assist with policy rating, quotations, binders, and policy issuance using external Underwriting systems.
• Proofread and rectify discrepancies in issued documents before distribution.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of processing tasks.
• Communicate and work with agents and brokers to respond to bureau notifications.
• Generate and obtain underwriting or financial information as needed.
• Lead the broker appointment process and document compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with the external Premium Accounting Team for monthly account statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation or insurance underwriting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & MS Teams).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.

Nice-to-haves

• Two to three years' experience with insurance underwriting activities.
• Previous experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong mathematical skills.
