About the position

The Workers Compensation Analyst (Underwriting) position at Global Aerospace Inc. is a full-time role based in Morris Plains, NJ, designed for individuals with a strong foundation in Workers' Compensation Underwriting. This hybrid role offers opportunities for personal growth and development within the department, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The analyst will support the Workers' Compensation Division by managing producer appointments, conducting account research, and developing underwriting information, while also handling day-to-day servicing and policy documentation for new and existing policyholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Workers' Compensation Division in producer appointments and account research.
  • Develop pertinent underwriting information and manage day-to-day servicing tasks.
  • Follow up on outstanding information and complete policy documents for issuance.
  • Assist with policy rating, quotations, binders, and policy issuance using external Underwriting systems.
  • Proofread and rectify discrepancies in issued documents before distribution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of processing tasks.
  • Communicate and work with agents and brokers to respond to bureau notifications.
  • Generate and obtain underwriting or financial information as needed.
  • Lead the broker appointment process and document compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with the external Premium Accounting Team for monthly account statements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation or insurance underwriting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & MS Teams).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two to three years' experience with insurance underwriting activities.
  • Previous experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
