About the position

The Business Development Representative plays a crucial role in the growth of the workers' compensation program at United Musculoskeletal Partners. This position involves collaborating with department leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organization's vision. The representative will assist in marketing efforts, customer satisfaction initiatives, and business development opportunities, utilizing data and metrics to optimize revenue and market share.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with department leadership in the development and execution of the strategic plan for the workers' compensation program growth.
  • Assists in the marketing, referral development, and customer satisfaction efforts for the workers' compensation program.
  • Acts as a liaison between the practice, customers, and Workers' compensation community stakeholders.
  • Plans events and seeks out new business development opportunities through data utilization.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the evaluation of new and existing business opportunities to grow market share.
  • Works closely with the supervisor for business development of workers' compensation service lines.
  • Contributes to the implementation of growth strategies to enhance relations between medical staff and referral sources.
  • Tracks and analyzes data and volume trends to grow new volume.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors existing relationships for further integration.
  • Performs in-depth client/prospect needs analysis resulting in full solutions proposals.
  • Analyzes territory and accounts to identify areas for improvement and implements strategies.
  • Develops networking opportunities with referral sources and agencies within the community.
  • Networks and participates in community events and committees.
  • Coordinates professional development opportunities and community events.
  • Prospects, identifies, contacts, and develops new and qualified customers/clients.
  • Develops and maintains service relationships with clients.
  • Assists in the delivery of product solutions to meet client needs.
  • Identifies issues of referral accounts to ensure satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Manages relationships with clients to retain/renew existing business and add incremental business.
  • Assists with implementation and development of specialty programs for referral development.
  • Monitors satisfaction of patients, referral sources, and other customers.
  • Contributes to a culture that fosters a high-performing team focused on growth and profit objectives.
  • Communicates plans and status to team and leadership.
  • Reviews practice month-end reports, including new patient counts and revenues.
  • Prepares monthly marketing reports and other marketing reports as needed.
  • Performs special projects as requested.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a consultative sales role.
  • Healthcare and sales experience preferred, with an understanding of managed care and reimbursement dynamics.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal relationships, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience with CRM platforms and EMRs.
