Reporting directly to the Claims Manager, the individual will be responsible for various aspects of claims management, including the reporting and processing of claims, as well as coordination with third-party administrators (TPA) on open active claims as necessary. This role is essential in ensuring that claims are handled efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall risk management strategy of the organization. In addition to claims administration, the Claims Assistant will assist with general duties within the Risk Management department as assigned. This includes daily claim reporting, where the assistant will communicate with injured workers, site management, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) personnel, and claim examiners or adjusters. The role requires providing support and guidance on claim files, ensuring that all parties are informed and that claims are processed in a timely manner. Furthermore, the Claims Assistant will act as a resource to Darling Ingredients locations and will assist in the completion of data requests for monthly and quarterly reports, allocations, renewals, accruals, actuarial reviews, and audits. This multifaceted role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
