The Workers' Compensation Compliance Analyst position is a critical role within the Office of Workers' Compensation, specifically in the Records Management Division. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the statutes governing the workers' compensation claim filing process, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of the system. The analyst will monitor the filing process for compliance with regulations, procedures, and applicable laws, providing a vital service to both the state and its citizens. The role may be filled at either the Analyst 1 or Analyst 2 level, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate, and offers a pathway for career progression within the job series. As a Workers' Compensation Compliance Analyst, the individual will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that include monitoring the workers' compensation claim filing process, maintaining confidential document-related services, and reviewing computer reports to identify delinquent claims. The analyst will also collect, compile, edit, and sort statewide workers' compensation claim forms, both in hard copy and electronic formats, ensuring that all submissions are accurate and compliant with established standards. In addition to monitoring and reviewing claims, the analyst will analyze claim forms to determine the appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and assess discrepancies in submitted claims. This includes reviewing calculations of benefit payments and making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy. The role requires effective communication skills, as the analyst will confer with individuals submitting non-compliant documents and provide guidance on necessary adjustments for approval. Furthermore, the analyst will collaborate with information system teams to develop system requirements and enhancements, and provide technical assistance and training to various stakeholders, including employers, insurance carriers, attorneys, and employees regarding court claim forms.
