The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution, ensuring that all aspects of the case are handled efficiently and effectively. This role requires extensive interaction with clients, attorneys, insurance adjustors, and medical providers, making strong communication skills essential. The paralegal will be tasked with opening new files, gathering and analyzing intake information, and collecting relevant documents. A thorough investigation of each case is crucial, as is maintaining regular contact with clients to keep them informed of their case status. The preparation of legal documents and correspondence is a key responsibility, along with the collection of documentation related to damages sustained, such as medical records, bills, and loss of income. The ability to read and interpret medical records and reports is also necessary, as is the organization and maintenance of case files to ensure all information is readily accessible. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a workers' compensation or personal injury practice, with a strong understanding of the relevant laws and procedures. The ability to manage an existing caseload and move cases forward is essential, as is a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and written skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and legal software.
