About the position

Skye Law is looking for a dedicated Workers' Compensation Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking legal assistance with workers' compensation claims. This role involves gathering relevant information, pre-qualifying potential clients, and ensuring they receive the necessary support during the initial stages of their claims process. The Intake Specialist will play a crucial role in advocating for injured workers by providing exceptional customer service and guiding clients through the intake process.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, handling phone calls, emails, and online inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Conduct thorough intake interviews to understand potential clients' circumstances and eligibility for legal services.
  • Pre-qualify clients by gathering key information related to their work injuries, medical treatment, employment details, and other relevant factors.
  • Accurately document client information and maintain detailed records in the case management system.
  • Educate clients on the intake process, explain the steps involved, and set clear expectations for next steps.
  • Schedule consultations and coordinate with attorneys and other legal staff to ensure seamless client handoff.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Follow up with potential clients who have expressed interest but have not yet scheduled an appointment.
  • Maintain knowledge of workers' compensation regulations and industry standards to provide accurate information.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in workers' compensation intake or legal intake is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in case management software or CRM tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills (especially in Spanish) are a plus.
