About the position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Workers Compensation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with Workers' compensation claims, collections, and the WCB board.
Responsibilities
- Billing of all workers compensation claims
- Collections for all Workers' compensation claims
- Follow up on denials and all processed and unprocessed claims
- Working directly with clients and their lawyers to ensure cases are viable
- Coordination with lawyers and other medical professionals for depositions and establishment of cases
- Scheduling and preparation for all depositions
- Uploading all required documentation to the WCB
- Medical records coordination and processing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Proven experience in worker's compensation billing and collections
- Proficiency in EHR systems
- Strong understanding of Worker compensation fee schedules and rules
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Workers' compensation billing (3 years preferred)
- Experience in Workers' Compensation Collections (3 years preferred)
- Experience in Workers' compensation (3 years preferred)
- Knowledge of Spanish (preferred)
