About the position

The Workforce Career and Credentials Coach is responsible for providing career and educational planning services to students interested in or enrolled in workforce programs. This role focuses on assisting students with program admissions, financial aid, and successful credential completion, while also identifying work-based learning opportunities and facilitating job placement and retention. The Coach collaborates with the Adult Education Department to support Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs and helps students overcome barriers to success by connecting them with supportive services.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with career and educational planning services.
• Guide students through program admissions and financial aid processes.
• Support students in achieving successful credential completion.
• Identify work-based learning opportunities for students.
• Facilitate job placement and retention for students.
• Collaborate with the Adult Education Department on IET programs.
• Connect students to supportive services at the college and in the region.
• Work closely with students before, during, and after their credentialing programs.

Requirements

• Experience in career coaching or educational planning.
• Knowledge of workforce programs and services.
• Ability to assist students with financial aid processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in job placement and retention strategies.
