About the position

The Youth Career Coach at Eckerd Connects is responsible for outreach and recruitment activities aimed at participant development, assessment, and eligibility determination. This role involves delivering skills training, maintaining case records, and engaging with employers and community organizations to enhance program success. The position is focused on making a positive impact in the lives of youth through career coaching and development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and recruitment activities in the community.
• Identify and recruit target populations of clients and employers.
• Assess and determine eligibility of participants per project plan.
• Maintain case records detailing service needs and activities according to data-management procedures.
• Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness skills, and basic remedial skills in math and reading.
• Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage students in meeting program goals.
• Deliver program curriculum/objectives in classroom and simulated workplace environments.
• Connect with employers and community organizations to market the program and support participant success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working with the targeted population.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to meet auto insurance requirements.
• Ability to pass a drug screen in compliance with workplace policies.
