About the position

The Workforce Career Coach plays a crucial role in supporting participants in their career development journey. This position involves direct interaction with participants, ensuring they meet eligibility and participation requirements, and providing follow-up services. The Career Coach is responsible for recruiting participants, delivering skills training, and connecting with employers to enhance program success. The role emphasizes personal and professional growth, aligning with the organization's mission to make a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for participants and their support networks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for eligibility and participation.
• Maintain detailed case notes and follow-up services regarding employment and retention.
• Recruit participants for the program and seek employment and educational opportunities.
• Conduct community activities related to participant development.
• Deliver skills training in software applications and work readiness skills.
• Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage students.
• Connect with employers and community organizations to market the program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Past experience working with the targeted population.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to meet auto insurance requirements.
