About the position

The Workforce Career Coach at Eckerd Connects plays a crucial role in supporting participants in their career development journey. This position involves direct engagement with participants, ensuring they meet eligibility requirements, and providing guidance on employment and educational opportunities. The coach will also deliver skills training and work closely with employers and community organizations to enhance program success.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for participants and their support networks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for eligibility and participation.
• Recruit participants for the program and seek employment opportunities for them.
• Conduct community activities related to participant development.
• Deliver skills training in software applications and work readiness skills.
• Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage participants effectively.
• Connect with employers and community organizations to market the program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience with the targeted population.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and online database tracking systems.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to meet auto insurance requirements.
• Ability to pass a drug screen in compliance with workplace policies.
