About the position

The Career Coach serves as the primary contact for participants in workforce programs, focusing on their employment and educational opportunities. This role involves meeting regulatory requirements, delivering skills training, and engaging with community organizations to enhance participant success. The Career Coach is responsible for recruiting participants, providing follow-up services, and developing relationships with employers to facilitate job placements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for participants and their support networks.
• Meet regulatory requirements for eligibility, participation, and case management.
• Recruit participants for the program and seek employment and educational opportunities.
• Conduct community activities related to participant development.
• Deliver skills training in software applications and work readiness skills.
• Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage students.
• Connect with employers and community organizations to market the program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Related Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working with the targeted population.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to meet auto insurance requirements.
