The Career Coach is responsible for maintaining detailed case notes and follow-up services that outline the service needs and activities arranged for each participant, focusing on employment retention and termination. This role requires adherence to data-management procedures established by program management and funding sources, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Career Coach is tasked with recruiting participants for the program and seeking out employment and educational opportunities as they progress. This involves actively engaging with the community, conducting activities that promote participant development, and identifying potential clients and employers. The Career Coach will also deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness skills, and basic remedial skills in math and reading, helping participants build the necessary competencies for successful employment. Furthermore, the Career Coach is expected to develop strong presentation and facilitation skills to effectively engage students and help them meet program goals. Job development is a key aspect of this role, requiring frequent connections with employers and community organizations to market the program and enhance the success of participants. This position is integral to the mission of Eckerd Connects, which aims to provide comprehensive workforce development services through partnerships and innovative strategies.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to meet Eckerd's Auto Insurance requirements.
